Steve Panozzo
Steve is a Sydney-based professional cartoonist and caricaturist, working primarily for newspapers and magazines since 1984. He joined News Limited in Sydney in late 1987, working for ten years at The Australian and The Daily Telegraph.
He is the resident cartoonist for The Australian Journal of Pharmacy, a post he has held since 2006, and is the editor of Inkspot, the national cartoonists’ magazine.
He has been a frequent finalist in the annual Bald Archy Prize since 2001. His first solo exhibition of caricatures, “Faces at the Fenwick”, was held at The Fenwick Restaurant, Balmain in 2021.
Steve is well known for drawing “live” caricatures at conferences, events, weddings and – beginning in 2023 – entertaining passengers on cruise ships. He is a life member of the Australian Cartoonists’ Association and currently serves as a Board member.
Steve is frequently commissioned for his caricatures by leading Australian firms such as Servcorp, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, BOC Gases, Meriton, Nine Entertainment, the Finance Brokers Association of Australasia, KPMG and a host of others.
